CHOCOLATE BABY GRAND PIANO FILLED WITH ENGLISH TOFFEE

Ingredients

Piano mold
48 ounces milk chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate or white chocolate, melted
1 ounce milk chocolate or white chocolate, melted

English Toffee:
1 cup sugar
2 sticks sweet butter
¼ cup water
Pinch salt
1½ teaspoons vanilla

12 ounces milk chocolate
½ cup roasted almonds, finely diced


To make piano, fill each mold with 8 ounces of the chocolate of your choice. Chill and unmold. Assemble piano and paint piano keys with opposite color chocolate. Fill inside of piano with English toffee. Repeat to make a total of 6 pianos.


For English Toffee, butter 9”x 13” nonstick baking sheet. Combine sugar, butter, water, and salt in saucepan. Place over medium-high heat and bring to a strong boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Continue boiling until mixture becomes syrupy and golden brown. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour into prepared baking sheet. Cool and let harden.


Melt chocolate. Lift toffee from baking sheet and spread half of the chocolate over. Sprinkle with almonds. Place in refrigerator one hour or until it hardens. Turn over and quickly spread other side with chocolate. Sprinkle remaining almonds over. Refrigerate again until hard. Break into desired shapes. If serving with cake, arrange over cake. Serve and enjoy!

I love bringing this out for dessert when I have company over. It's elegant and decadent. The chocolate piano melts in your mouth and the english toffee is nothing like you've ever tasted. The best part about making this dessert is knowing that you can always save some extra toffee for yourself :)
