1 tablespoon bacon grease
2 cups shredded cabbage
½ cup grated carrots
¼ cup chopped green onions
1 egg, beaten
½ cup milk
3 tablespoons grated Swiss cheese
¼ teaspoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Sauté cabbage, carrots, and onions in bacon grease until tender-crisp. Place mixture in a greased
shallow 1-quart casserole.
3. Combine egg, milk, Swiss cheese, and seasoned salt in a bowl; pour over the vegetables. Sprinkle the
parsley and parmesan cheese over the top; bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in
center comes out clean.
