A delight to make and eat


  • 1 box yellow cake mix (2 layer mix)
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 3/4 tbsp. cinnamon
  • Glaze - (see recipe link above for recipe)


  • Dissolve the yeast, cake mix and salt in the lukewarm water. Mix in flour. Allow to rise for about 1 hour. Punch down. Roll out in rectangle shape on floured surface. Brush with melted butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over buttered surface. Roll up and slice 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick pieces. Combine glaze ingredients, add to greased 13x9 baking pan, place roll slices in pan. Let rise for about 45 minutes and then bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees. May be glazed with a thin mixture of powdered sugar and milk. Delicious when served hot
