CARAMEL SAUCE

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 c. cream, warmed
  • 6 T. butter

Directions

  • In a large skillet over medium low heat, combine
  • the sugar and water.
  • Simmer stirring frequently for 10 - 15 minutes or until brown.
  • Remove from heat and slowly add the cream, stirring rapidly to blend.
  • Add the butter.
  • Return to heat and simmer,stirring frequently for another 15 - 20 minutes until thickened.
