1-1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
2 c. cream, warmed
6 T. butter
In a large skillet over medium low heat, combine
the sugar and water.
Simmer stirring frequently for 10 - 15 minutes or until brown.
Remove from heat and slowly add the cream, stirring rapidly to blend.
Add the butter.
Return to heat and simmer,stirring frequently for another 15 - 20 minutes until thickened.
