Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water

Directions

  • Caramelize sugar in a saucepan by boiling with water and stirring continuously over medium heat.
  • Continue cooking until sugar is melted and golden brown.
  • Pour syrup into flan mold, tilting the mold to ensure the surface is covered.

Notes

Otherwise known as Creme Caramel, it's a sweet, creamy custard, flavored with a hint of lime rind and covered with a rich, caramel syrup.
