- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. water
Caramelize sugar in a saucepan by boiling with water and stirring continuously over medium heat.
Continue cooking until sugar is melted and golden brown.
Pour syrup into flan mold, tilting the mold to ensure the surface is covered.
Otherwise known as Creme Caramel, it's a sweet, creamy custard, flavored with a hint of lime rind and covered with a rich, caramel syrup.
