CARAMELIZED ONIONS

Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 large sweet onions
  • 1/2 cup butter

Directions

  • Peel onions and cut off some of the top and bottom. In a 4-6 quart crockpot, place peeled whole onions and top with the butter or olive oil. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours. The onions will fall apart and get a deep golden brown color with sweet caramelized flavor. Serves 6-8
