Why I Love This Recipe

I mean its chili

Ingredients You'll Need

3 lbs. trimmed sirloin beef, cubed or coarsely ground
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1 tbsp. fresh minced garlic
9 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (15oz.) can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup chili powder
1( 4 1/2 oz.) can of beef broth
1 tbsp. New Mexico chili powder
1 tbsp. Pasilla chili powder
1 tbsp (each) ground cumin, salt, and vinegar
1 tsp (each) ground oregano and pepper
1/2 tsp (each) cayenne pepper and hot pepper sauce


1.) In a large bowl, combine beef, onions, and garlic

2.) In Dutch oven or stockpot, brown 1/3 of the beef mixture in 3 tbsp of hot oil; remove and set aside

3.) Repeat with remaining beef and oil

4.) Leave last batch of cooked beef in pot and add first 3 cooked batches with remaining ingredients

5.) Stir until well blended

6.) Simmer, cover for 2 hours, stirring occasionally
