RECIPE BACKSTORY
Two summers ago I was looking to bake a cake for the sabbath but I was bored with my recipes. MY sister-in-law who happens to live next door was in Israel so I decided to look in her recipe box. There was a recipe for an amaretto cake. I tried it but the consistancy was off and the flavor not exactly right. So I experimented and I got this cake. It still has the amaretto but it has a couple of added ingredients that make this cake moist and delicious. Whenever I make this cake I rarely have leftovers. And if I do my neighbors come running and I have none.
