INGREDIENTS

  • 2 refrigerated tubes of crescent rolls
  • 2 (8 oz pkgs) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • cherry pie filling (my addition, on half)

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 baking dish.

Lay 1 pkg crescent rolls in dish and push seams together.

Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla. Spread on top of crescent rolls. (This is where I added cherry pie filling)

Lay 2nd roll of crescent rolls on top, pushing seams together. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Bake for 20 min or until golden brown.

Cool then cut into squares and refrigerate.

RECIPE BACKSTORY

These were delicious and easy to make! I decided to add cherry pie filling to half of the dish since I love cherries and thought it would be good and I was right and it tasted like creamy cherry pie! Yummy! I did have to bake it a little longer than 20 minutes because the cherry side took a little longer! I bought this spring plate just for this recipe and went back the next day to buy the matching bowl and the entire collection was sold out so I ended up buying the placemat! Next time I won't think about it and I'll just buy it! :) Thanks Mom_Jill for a wonderful recipe!
