Why I Love This Recipe
Adapted to taste more like Red Lobster's Cheddar Biscuits- my own remake. Soft and delicious, break one open while it's still warm to a chewy center!
Storage/Freezing:
I Store these in an air tight container lined with wax paper in the fridge. To warm them up, wrap in a paper towel, place in microwave, and heat for 30 seconds. Sometimes I even individually wrap them in plastic Saran wrap and place them in a freezer bag. They freeze well, and you can reheat them while still frozen in the microwave in about 45 seconds using the first method.
Ingredients You'll Need
For the Dough:
2c Bisquick Original Mix
2/3c Shredded Cheddar & Monterey Jack Cheese (or Colby & Montrey Jack Cheese)
1/2 tsp Italian Seasonings
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Minced Garlic
2/3c Milk
Brush with:
2 Tbsp Margarine or Butter, melted
1/8 tsp Garlic Salt
Cooking Spray
Directions
1) Preheat oven to 400°F.
2) Spray a baking sheet or pizza pan with Anti-stick Cooking Spray; set aside.
2) For the Dough: In a medium mixing bowl, add Bisquick, Italian seasonings, and garlic powder. Stir together with a mixing spoon or rubber spatula until combined. Add shredded cheese and minced garlic; mix together well again, using a tossing motion. Pour milk into bowl, and using a "cut and pull" motion, stir together until all ingredients are combined. Dough will be fluffy and slightly sticky.
3) Drop dough by 9 to 10 heaping spoonfuls onto prepared bake pan.
4) Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until both the bottoms and biscuit peaks are golden brown, and biscuits are cooked through.
