Cherry (or Blueberry) Pie
2 cans cherry (or blueberry) pie filling
3/4 C sugar
1/4 C flour
1 T cornstarch
1 tsp almond flavoring
1 tsp red food coloring (blue for blueberry)
prepared, unbaked pie crust for 9-10" pie
1) Preheat oven to 375*.
2) Dump pie filling into medium sized pot over medium heat. With a whisk, combine sugar, flour and cornstarch. Still using whisk, stir into pie filling. Add almond and food coloring.
3) Reduce heat, stir and cook until thickened. Cool before pouring into crust.
4) Add remaining crust/crumbs/cut outs, butter and cinnamon and sugar. Cover with foil and bake for 25 mins. Remove foil and bake an additional 25 mins. or until golden brown.
