Cherry Berry Salad
1 pkg. cherry flavored gelatin
1 cup hot water
1 lb. can whole cranberry sauce
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Dissolve gelatin in hot water, add sauce and juice. When cool pour into refrigerator tray and chill until thickened.
Make topping (below) and spoon over the gelatin mixture. Freeze unwrapped for 3 hours. Let stand at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then slip salad onto a sheet of plastic wrap, label and store in freezer until needed. Or use as soon as set without freezing.
8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup cream for whipping, whipped
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
To make topping soften cream cheese and whip until light and fluffy. Fold in whipped cream and nuts.
