You will love this recipe! I reciped it from Dipsydoodle in a recipe swap and it is now a family favorite! Your house smells so good when this is in the oven. One of my best finds this year!


  • 1/2 lb. of margarine
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp of almond extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1 can of Cherry Pie filling


  • Cream margarine and sugar. Add vanilla and almond extract. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add flour and beat. Spread 2/3 of the batter ona greased 10 x 15 inch cookiesheet. Spread pie filling on batter. Drop remaining batter over the filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with icing sugar while lukewarm.
