2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
1 can cherry pie filling
Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs one at a time and the extracts.
Separately combine dry ingredients, then add to batter and mix well.
Put about half the batter into a greased 9x13 pan.
Spoon the pie filling over the batter in even blobs.
Spoon the remaining batter over the pie filling. Don't worrry about covering all of the pie filling.
Bake in a preheated oven 350 degrees.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes.
