CHESS SQUARES

Ingredients

  • For Crust:
  • 1 yellow cake mix (w/ no pudding)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick melted butter/margarine
  • For Topping:
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 box powdered sugar (the small box)

Directions

  • For Crust:
  • Mix and spread in a greased 9x13 glass baking dish.
  • For Topping:
  • Mix together in mixer and pour over crust mixture.
  • Bake for 50 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Cool and cut into bars.

Notes

I don't recommend using stoneware for this recipe. In my experience it doesn't not cook right.
