CHEWY CHOCOLATE COOKIES

INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/2 cups margarine (5 sticks)
- 4 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 4 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 cups flour
- 1 ½ cups Hershey’s Cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Cream margarine & sugar in large bowl. Add eggs & vanilla, blend well. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda & salt; blend until creamy. Stir in nuts, if desired.
Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8 to 9 minutes. (Do not over-bake. Cookies will be soft and puffed up.)
(For Christmas - I put a swirl of frosting on the top to jazz them up a bit.)
