Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

Ingredients

3/4 Cup butter or margarine
3/4 Cup shortening
1 Cup granulated sugar
1 Cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsps vanilla
2 1/2 Cups all purpose flour
3/4 Cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 Cups peanut butter chips


Preheat oven to 350F.


In a large bowl,mix together butter or margarine, shortening and sugars until well blended.


Add eggs and vanilla,mixing well. Combine flour,baking soda,and salt;gradually stir into the shortening mixture.


Stir in peanut butter chips.


Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.


Bake 8-10 minutes in preheated oven.


Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire racks to cool completely.


Makes 5-6 dozen cookies.

I just tried this recipe today and everyone really liked the cookies. They are still soft and chewy after they had cooled off.I'm sure I'll be making these again.
