CHIANTI MARINARA

 

  • Cooking Time: 25-30 min
  • Servings: 2 cups
  • Preparation Time: 15 min

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion chopped
  • 2t minced garlic
  • 1/2 c chianti wine
  • 1 (16 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 T parsley minced
  • 2t salt
  • 1t pepper
  • 1/2 T lemon juice

Directions

  • 1. Heat some olive oil in a large pot
  • 2. Add onions cook about 10 min until clear
  • 3. Add garlic cook only about 1 min
  • 4. Add Chianti and cook on high until all liquid is absorbed (caution it will smell bad while the alcohol burns off)
  • 5. Add tomatoes, parsley,salt, pepper and lemon juice
  • 6. turn heat to med-low and bring to boil until it boils
  • 7. then its all done!!
  • to can 3X's recipe process 35 min
