Chianti Marinara

Serves 2 cups | Prep Time 15 min | Cook Time 25-30 min

Ingredients

1 yellow onion chopped
2t minced garlic
1/2 c chianti wine
1 (16 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 T parsley minced
2t salt
1t pepper
1/2 T lemon juice


1. Heat some olive oil in a large pot


2. Add onions cook about 10 min until clear


3. Add garlic cook only about 1 min


4. Add Chianti and cook on high until all liquid is absorbed (caution it will smell bad while the alcohol burns off)


5. Add tomatoes, parsley,salt, pepper and lemon juice


6. turn heat to med-low and bring to boil until it boils


7. then its all done!!
