CHICKEN PAPRIKASH

Ingredients

  • 1 cut up fryer chicken
  • 1 lg onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 tbs flour
  • Dumplings or rice

Directions

  • Brown chicken in large pan with onion
  • Add paprika, salt, garlic powder and water
  • Simmer 1 hour or until tender, adding more hot water if needed
  • Mix half and half with flour
  • Add to chicken and simmer 10 minutes
  • Pour over dumplings or rice
