1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 - 3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 tsp garlic pwd
1/2 - 1 tsp ground ginger
Combine all in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Cut 5 lbs chicken wings, removing tips (discard). Place chicken wings in a greased 9x13” pan. Pour sauce over chicken. Do not cover. Bake 350° for 2 hours, turning the wings over halfway through baking time.
May want to bump up the temperature to 375° or even 400° during the last 10-15 minutes, to caramelize.
