Chicken and Veggies Pasta Alfredo

Ingredients

3-4 chicken breasts
seasoned with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt pepper and then coated lightly with olive oil and grilled on “George”

sauté mushrooms (fresh or from a can), and onions in olive oil and a little butter with garlic powder (or fresh garlic) till onions are tender.

Steam veggies (I used frozen broccoli, frozen peas and fresh carrots) till they are about done (don’t want them to get mushy so I only steam them a little).


Add veggies into pan with mushrooms and onions


Dice grilled chicken and throw that in with the veggies also


Add one jar of Ragu (classic cheese) Alfredo sauce and about 1/3 – ½ jar of water stir so all veggies and the chicken is coated. Let this cook while you boil the pasta – we use about half a box of either shells or bow tie pasta but you can use any pasta.


When the pasta is about ½ done add about a handful (or two) of shredded parmesan cheese and of shredded mozzarella cheese to the veggies, chicken and alfredo and stir to combine the cheese . When the pasta is done drain and add to pot with veggies, chicken and sauce.


We suggest sprinkling Cajun Seasoning on top to sweeten each serving.
