CHICKEN WITH OLIVES AND RAISINS

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds boneless chicken pieces
  • 2 tbl cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 large minced garlic clove
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup sliced green olives
  • Noodles or rice (cooked)

Directions

  • Brown chicken in skillet. Remove chicken and set aside. Cook onion, garlic and salt in skillet till brown. Stir in other ingredients. Add chicken. Spoon sauce over chicken and cover. Simmer 45 minutes. Serve over noodles or rice.
