CHOCOLATE CHERRY FUDGE

Chocolate Cherry Fudge

This is an old recipe that my auntie handed down to my sister, which i then 'borrowed'.... it used to be just plain fudge with crushed brazil nuts, but adapted it...

CATEGORIES

INGREDIENTS

  • 350g good dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 1x 397g can of condensed milk
  • 30g butter
  • pinch of salt
  • 150g cherries (i use cherries that have been soaked in kirsch!)
  • 50g crushed pistachios

DIRECTIONS

chop the chocolate into small pieces. put the chocolate, condensed milk, butter and salt into a saucepan and melt over a low heat

Step 2

drain the cherries then add them and the crushed nuts to the melted mixture.

Step 3

put the mixture in a foil tray smoothing the top. let it cool in the fridge until set.

Step 4

cut into small squares, once cut the fudge can be frozen.

you can use pretty much any dried fruits or nuts. ive even tried it with honeycomb, M&Ms, marshamllow etc.... anything goes.
