Why I Love This Recipe
I once made this for my brothers, and they begged to have it again! The fun, special part about these cookies is that they are green colored, hence the name "Grinch" (my brothers call them that). To get the cookies "gooey" (and somewhat messy!) underbake them a bit less from what I say. And, of course, you can always use different colored food coloring, too. Enjoy!
Ingredients You'll Need
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
3 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet)

Directions
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts, then add a few drops of food coloring.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for about 10 minutes (8-9 minutes if you like them softer).
