Serves 12 | Prep Time 10 minutes | Cook Time 10 minutes per batch

1 Quart Mason Jar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda

Sift the flour with salt and baking soda

Add a layer to bottom of 1 Quart Mason Jar

Then layer other ingredents to get multicolored layers

I usually end with the chocolate chips on top

Print up the following instructions and give with Jar:

Chocolate Chip Cookies 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 2. In a large bowl, cream 1 cup of unsalted butter or margarine until light and fluffy. Beat in 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix in cookie mix. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough, spaced well apart, onto a greased cookie sheet. 3. I made these a couple of Christmas's ago to give with my fresh baked cookies as gifts. This really helps when you're tight on cash... and I've always got such great feedback on them!
