Chocolate Chip Cookies In A Jar Mix (Gift Idea)

I made these a couple of Christmas's ago to give with my fresh baked cookies as gifts. This really helps when you're tight on cash... and I've always got such great feedback on them!

INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking Time: 10 minutes per batch
  • Servings: 12
  • Preparation Time: 10 minutes
  • 1 Quart Mason Jar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

DIRECTIONS

Sift the flour with salt and baking soda

Add a layer to bottom of 1 Quart Mason Jar

Then layer other ingredents to get multicolored layers

I usually end with the chocolate chips on top

Print up the following instructions and give with Jar:

Chocolate Chip Cookies 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 2. In a large bowl, cream 1 cup of unsalted butter or margarine until light and fluffy. Beat in 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix in cookie mix. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough, spaced well apart, onto a greased cookie sheet. 3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven, or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
