- Preparation Time:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- dash of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
- Cream first 3 ingredients together.
- Fold in eggs and vanilla do Not beat just fold.
- Add the dry ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate chips and bake at 350* for 10-12 minutes.
