- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 T vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 2 1/2 c flour
- chocolate chips to taste
- Cream butter, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Chill in the refrigerator overnight (this step is optional, but recommended)
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 for 10-13 minutes or until golden brown. (For a pan cookie, 20-25 minutes)
