CHOCOLATE COCONUT BARS

 

  • Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
  • Servings: 3 Dozen
  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 plain chocolate candy bar (7 oz.)
  • 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter

Directions

  • Combine the crumbs, butter, and sugar
  • Press into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan
  • Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes
  • Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the coconut, milk, and pecans
  • Spread over the crust
  • Bake at 350 for 15 minutes
  • Cool in the pan on a wire rack
  • In a small saucepan, melt the candy bar and peanut buttter butter over low heat
  • Spread over cooled bars
  • Let stand until the frosting is set
  • Cut into bars
