Chocolate Drizzle Cherry Bars
2 cups flour
2 cups oats
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup butter
1 21 ounce can cherry pie filling
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp shortening
Heat oven to 350.
In a large mixing bowl combine flour, oats, sugar, and butter. Beat at low until mixture is crumbly. Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture. Press remaining mixture into 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
In the same bowl stir together filling and extract. Spread filling over hot crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Continue baking 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
In a saucepan melt chocolate chips and shortening over low heat. Drizzle over bars.
