CHOCOLATE FROSTING

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 sq chocolate
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

  • Put all ingredients into pan and bring to a rolling boil.
  • Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly
  • Cool and stir until it reaches the right consistency
  • If too hard to spread on cake, mix a little hot cream or milk to thin
  • Add nuts if desired
