CHOCOLATE FUDGE FROSTING

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2ox bittersweet chocolate chopped fine
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pecans chopped

Directions

  • In a heavy bottomed sauce pan combine the sugar, chocolate, milk and cream of tartar, Cook until it forms a soft ball (249 degrees). allow to cool and add the butter and beat until creamy and of spreading consistency. Garnish with chopped pecans if desired.
