CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM
INGREDIENTS

- Servings: 1 quart
- Preparation Time: 20 min
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1oz semi sweet baking chocolate, chopped
- 1 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup half & half
- 1/2 cup sugat
- half 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 4 egg yolks
- 2t vanilla
- pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS
in small saucepan melt both chocolates in a 1/4 cup whipping cream on medium heat set aside when done
in medium saucepan heat half & half on medium heat until steamy, set aside when done
In small bowl mix together sugar and cocoa set aside
place yolks in mixer bowl start mixing on speed 2 slowly add sugar mixture
then add chocolate mixture (you may have to stop the mixer a few times)
then add half & half mix well
return mixture to medium saucepan on medium heat stir constantly until it gets very steamy
pour into bowl, mix in remaining cream, vanilla, and salt
chill overnight (at least 6 hours)
pour into ice cream maker and process until desired consistancy then freeze at least 2 hours.
