CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks Butter
  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup sweet milk
  • 3 cups ckae flour
  • 5 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions

  • Cream butter, Crisco, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Combine flour cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Sift. Add alternately with milk to butter mixture starting and ending with flour. After blending beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour into a 10 inch tube pan, greased and floured. Place in cold oven turn to 300 degreese and bake 2 hours.
