  • BRING TO BOIL IN LARGE SAUCEPAN
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • TAKE FROM HEAT AND ADD
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • BEAT IN
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • BAKE 350 IN 16X11 1/2 FOR 22 MINUTES
  • FROSTING
  • BRING TO BOIL
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • TAKE FROM HEAT AND ADD
  • 1 package confectioners sugar
  • POUR HOT FROSTING ON HOT CAKE
  • sprinkle with nuts if desired
