Chocolate Sybil Cake

Ingredients

1 stick butter soften
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tspn baking powder
1/8 tspn salt
1 tspn vanilla
1 16oz can hershey syrup
Frosting:
1 stick butter, 1/2 c. chocolate chips, 1 c sugar, 1/2 cup evap. milk, 1 tspn vanilla, 1/2 cup chocolate nuts.

Put butter, chocolate chips, sugar & milk in saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Stirring ingredident together, boil for 2 to 3 mins.
Remove from heat, stire in vanilla & nuts.
Pour over warm cake


Cream butter & sugar together until light and fluffy.


Add eggs 1 at a time.


Sift flour, baking powder&salt together in another bowl.


Add to cream mixture.


Add vanilla & chocolate syrup to batter & beat well.


Pour into prepared pan & bake.


Just before cake is done, prepare frosting

Notes

This was given to me at my bridal shower by a good friend. It takes 25 mins to make. You need to preheat the oven to 350.
