BackstoryMy mom always had this in the house for chocolate milk...or ice cream.
- 8 Squares unsweetened chocolate
- 3.5 Cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups boiling water
- In a double boiler, melt chocolate, sugar and salt till smooth. Slowly add boiling water, and move to med-low heat. Boil until a thin syrup is formed...about 6 minutes. Store in a glass jar, cover and keep cool.
