Chuck Wagon Beans
1/2 lb sliced bacon
3 lb ground beef
2 c. celery-finely chopped
3 c onion-finely chopped
2 beef boullion cubes
2/3 c boiling water
2 cloves minced garlic
1 1/2 c ketchup
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
4 1/2 tbsp mustard
2 1 lb.3 oz cans baked beans
Cook bacon in a large pan until crisp and drain on paper towels.
Drain the grease from the pan and cook ground beef,onion and celery till beef is browned.
Dissolve beef boullion cubes in the boiling water and stir into the remaining ingredients.
Stir boullion and bean mixture into the ground beef mixture.
Cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Before serving crumble bacon pieces over the top of beans.
