- 1 bunch cliantro
- 1 clove of garlic
- Juice of up to 2 lemons
- 2 - 5 Jalapeno's
- Salt to taste
- Wash cilantro and place in a food processor or blender. Wash jalapeno's, remove stem and place in blender. Add in garlic and juice of 1 lemon. Blend well. Add in salt and additional lemon juice to taste.
- Side note:
- Remove seeds from jalapeno's to reduce heat to chutney. Can easily double or triple the recipe.
- For additonal tang zest one lemon and blend in.
- You can substitute most light vinegars for the lemon juice
NotesMy mom would make this chutney to adjust the spice level for her chicken curry. You can make it as spicy or as mild as you please. This chutney adds a zesty fresh flavor to any dish.
