CINCINNATI CHILI COCKAIGNE

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 lbs of ground turkey meat
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 5-6 cloves of garlic
  • One 15 ounce can of tomato sauce
  • one 15 ounce can of kidney beans drained
  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of worcestershire sauce
  • 10 peppercorns ground
  • 8 whole allspice ground
  • 8 whole cloves ground
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 ounce unsweetened chocolate grated (I used chips and it was fine)

Directions

  • Throw it all in a crockpot and cook on high for 6 hours. THAT'S IT. Enjoy...

Notes

Best chili we've made and we have tried A LOT! I adapted this recipe because I like my chili on the thick side but if you like it otherwise double the water.
