Ingredients You'll Need

1 1/3 cups sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1/3 cup canola oil
1/2 cup finely chopped taosted pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 loaf pan. Mix 1/3 cup of sugar and cinnamon; set aside.

In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar. Combine egg, milk, and oil; add to flour mixture. Stir by hand just until moistened. Pour half the batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with half the cinnamon mixture and pecans. Repeat with remaining batter, cinnamon mixture and pecans. Draw a knife through batter to marble.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool. Wrap and store bread overnight before slicing. Serves 16.

Questions, Comments & Reviews

This is a very nice recipe. I used all-purpose flour, although it didn't specify what type of flour to use. I baked in 350 degree oven for 30 mins in a bundt pan. Since using a bundt pan, you have to layer the bottom of the pan with then cinnamon sugar and pecans first, pour half batter, more cinnamon sugar and pecans, and finish off with rest of batter. My boys and husband loved it!!! Thanks for sharing your recipe.
