3 tbsp. sugar
1/3 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
¼ c. warm water
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 ¼-oz. package dry yeast
2 c. flour
½ c. margarine
1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. brown sugar (dark is best)
½ c. pecans
In a medium bowl, dissolve sugar, salt and 2 tbsp. butter in warm water.
Add egg and yeast, then mix in flour.
Roll dough on to a floured board to 8”X8” to ¾ inch thick. Melt ½ c. margarine and add cinnamon, pecans and brown sugar.
Mix well and spread on top of dough.
Roll up and cut ¾ inch thick.
Put in a nonstick pan and let rise about an hour. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes in a greased pan (or until browned).
