This is a classic version of a fruit pizza, the one my mom's good friend used to make for our family's while we vacationed together, but with a twist of my own. This pizza has a chocolate layer, as well as a suped-up cream cheese layer.

  • Pizza Dough:
  • 1 package store bought sugar cookie dough
  • Toppings:
  • 6-8 oz Nutella *Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • Any kind of sliced fruits you enjoy (i used Grapes, Pineapple, Strawberries, Apricot, Kiwi, Blueberries, & Raspberries)
  • Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 3-4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • *Tip-if using bananas, glazing them with lemon juice will help them not to brown immediately.

  • Spread cookie dough onto a medium size pizza pan. Bake until firm to touch, about 11 to 15 minutes. Cool completely. dessert pizza001
  • Spread onto cookie an even layer of Nutella. Place in fridge or freezer until firm (not frozen). dessert pizza003
  • In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, sugar, extracts, THEN chocolate. Spread cream cheese mixture over top of the firm Nutella layer. dessert pizza005
  • Decorate with sliced fruit. dessert pizza008
  • Mix together all ingredients for glaze, and glaze fruit only.
  • Slice and serve immediately. Store in fridge. Dessert will only last as long as sliced fruit lasts.
  • *Serving Suggestion-After glazing, top with regular or toasted shredded coconut, OR melt white chocolate and drizzle over, OR serve with whipped cream on the side {preferably homemade if you have the time! (= }
