Classic Waffles

Serves 5 | Prep Time 10 minjutes | Cook Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups warm milk
1/3 cu butter, melted
tsp vanilla extract


Preheat the waffle iron.


In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar; set aside.


In a separate bowl, beat eggs. Stir in milk, butter, and vanilla.


Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture; beat until blended.


Ladle batter onto the waffle iron. Cook until golden and crisp. Serve immediately.

Notes

This recipe uses melted butter instead of oil. Makes nice, crisp waffles.
