Cocoa Crumb Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients

1-3/4 cups flour
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 sticks cold butter
1 pkg. (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)


Preheat oven to 350º. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and cocoa. Cut in butter until crumbly and kind of dry. It can be done with hands. Reserve 2 cups of mixture for topping. Press remaining mix into bottom of ungreased 9x13 glass pan. Bake crust for 15 minutes. While crust is baking, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in condensed milk until smooth. Add egg and vanilla. Mix well. Pour cream cheese mix over crust. If you are using nuts, combine with reserved cocoa mix. Sprinkle over top of cream cheese filling. Bake for 25 minutes until bubbly. Chill and store in refrigerator.
