1 yellow cake mix
1 can of cream of coconut( usually found in the drink mixer section of the grocery)
1 grased 9x13 pan
1 5 0z bag of coconut
1 container of frozen whipped topping
Make cake according to package instructions. When cake is cooled, poke cake with long toothpick. (this is the most tedious part of the job, it may take 5-10 minutes to poke all the holes.)
Gently pour creme of coconut over top of cake. At this point you could freeze cake and use anytime you need it.
When ready to serve,spread whipped topping over cake and sprinkle the coconut over it and serve.

Someone gave me this recipe years ago, it's asked for again and again. Also it gets better as it ages as the coconut flavor blends into the cake.
