Why I Love This Recipe

Mochi has its origin in Japan and was introduced in Hawaii by Japanese immigrants. This mochi recipe we found in "Ohana Style Cooking". The word Ohana is a very important word in the Hawaiian language. Ohana means family, but it can also relate to people who are not related to you, but have a very special bond for.
