Coconut Pecan Frosting
5 ½ oz can evaporated milk
2/3 cup sugar
¼ cup butter
1 1/3 cup flaked coconut
½ cup chopped nuts
In a saucepan beat egg slightly. Stir in milk, sugar, butter and salt.
Cook and stir over medium heat about 12 minutes or till thickened and bubbly.
Stir in coconut and pecans.
Cool thoroughly and spread on cake.
This frosts the top of one 13x9 cake or 2 8/9 inch layer cakes.
