- 8 ounces coffee liqueur
- 16 ounces fresh coffee, brewed strong
- 24 ounces eggnog
- 1/2 cup thawed whipped topping
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- In a medium size sauce pan, combine the brewed coffee with the eggnog and liqueur and heat to a simmer (about 150°F.) and serve with a dollop of topping sprinkled with nutmeg. Serve immediately.
NotesI was over my Mother-in-law's Christmas Eve get to gather. I wanted coffee but was out of cream. They had eggnog, so I used it instead. The next cup , I added the topping there for the cakes & nutmeg. Then, people stared making them a cup. Well, so the next year I made some to bring, it is always the first drink gone! And I make a punch bowl full.
