Put a little Mex in the corn bread, and you can't go wrong with cheese. Great with any meal, even just a bowl of beans.


  • 1 pkg. (about 8 oz.) corn muffin mix
  • ½ cup Picante Sauce
  • ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease 8" square baking pan.Mix corn muffin mix according to pkg. directions. Spread half the batter in pan. Top with picante sauce and cheese. Spread remaining batter on top.Bake 20 min. or until done. Serves 9.
