Serves 2 lbs. | Prep Time 30-40 min. | Cook Time 10-12 minutes

Ingredients

4 oz. saltine crackers (about 40)
1 cup butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped pecans or toffee bits


Line a baking pan in parchment. Arrange saltines in a single layer set aside.


In a sauce pan melt butter. Stir in sugar. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Pour evenly over crackers.


Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes or until bubbly. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips.


Allow chips to soften for a few minutes and then spread over the top. Sprinkle with toffee bits. Cool. Cover in refrigerator for 20 minutes up until an hour until sets. Break apart and store in an air tight container. Yields 2 lbs.
